What can you bring to the Emirates

What can you bring to the Emirates

The UAE can be proud of the high level of security and increased comfort. Residents of the country comply with all rules and laws, do not forget about prayer, real estate agencies of the United Arab Emirates work in accordance with standards, and the police control compliance with all rules.

Despite the harsh law, passengers are allowed to bring the following items into Dubai without paying customs duties: The number of cigarettes must not exceed (400) cigarettes, (50) cigars, (500) grams of tobacco (loose mixture or compressed for pipes), compressed tobacco for smoking. If a tourist does not know how many cigarettes can be brought into the United Arab Emirates, he will face problems and a violation of the law, since exceeding the above implies a fine.

When worrying about how much alcohol you can bring into the Emirates, it is important to know that the amount of alcoholic beverages and beer should not exceed 4 liters of alcoholic beverages or 2 boxes of beer (each of 24 cans, no more than 355 ml per can or its equivalent).

Permitted customs baggage

Passenger's personal belongings are allowed for import and are exempt from customs duties:

  • Video cameras with still and moving images with appropriate tapes, films and accessories.
  • Money, currencies and traveller's checks totaling less than AED 6,000 and the passenger must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Radio systems, combined broadcast equipment, CD and DVD players in small quantities.
  • A nice number of projectors for displaying slides and films, including accessories.
  • Telescopes.
  • Mobile phone.
  • Portable TVs.
  • Computers, including laptops.
  • Baby strollers.
  • Portable musical equipment.
  • Sports Equipment.
  • Portable typing kits.
  • Portable calculators.
  • Wheelchairs and cars for the disabled.

Release conditions

For exemption from duty for the above, the following conditions apply:

  • Luggage and gifts must be of a personal nature and not in commercial quantities.
  • The passenger cannot regularly drive passengers with cargo or be a member of an appropriate transport crew.
  • Passengers must be over 18 years of age to carry legal cigarettes or alcoholic beverages into the country.

Of course, even if a villa in the United Arab Emirates is already waiting for a tourist, the buffet is set, and the hotel staff is ready to meet the traveler, the only thing that can spoil the rest is only a meeting with a man in uniform at the airport. Therefore, reinsuring yourself is the first thing that a traveler who carefully packs his suitcase should take care of.
