How the emirates were built
The history of the emirates can rightfully be considered breathtaking. Travelers are inspired, surprised and delighted by how many years the emirates were built, because 30 years ago there was a desert here, and today it is the center of the universe for investors, entrepreneurs, developers and progressive young people.
Various real estate agencies in the UAE offer to buy housing by paying for it with cryptocurrency, the subway runs without a driver, and the longest zip-line on the planet flies at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. What more evidence is needed that the UAE is the country of the future?
The birth of the emirates
The industry began to decline after World War I, and the Great Depression did not help it in 1929. The industrial methods of pearl production in countries such as Japan eventually caused the industry to disappear entirely. But in the UAE, only entrepreneurial activity and pearls have just begun to reach a new level.
Despite the fact that oil companies began searching for oil before the outbreak of World War II, it was not until 13 years after the end of the war that the first oil well was discovered. Shortly thereafter, a new site was found in Umm Shaif off the coast of Abu Dhabi, as well as on the coast in the desert region of Murban. Oil exports began in 1962, and the sheikhs quickly set about improving the lives of their people by building schools, homes, hospitals and their "UAE penthouse" to live in comfort and provide for the well-being of their families.
Independence and the beginning of an independent life
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan became the ruler of Abu Dhabi in 1966, and in the same year the UK came to the conclusion that it could no longer afford to provide protection to the rule of law. At that point, British Prime Minister Harold Wilson confirmed on 24 January 1968 that the UK would be withdrawing its defenses. Despite efforts to keep British forces in these territories, Sheikh Zayed knew that the best and safest step forward was to form an alliance with neighboring states to gain legal power. Therefore, answering the question of how many years the Arab Emirates were built, it is impossible to come to an unambiguous conclusion.
The original view of the UAE
Initially, the UAE was to be made up of nine emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Bahrain and Qatar. However, due to complications and island disputes, Bahrain and Qatar decided to be autonomous, leaving the rest of the emirates to form an alliance. Today the UAE is a country of the future, which is available for tourists and investors today. Sometimes it is useful to learn how the emirates were built, how the desert turned into a real treasure for entrepreneurs and be inspired by the history of the state.
